Our Nordic Commercial division is looking for a driven and enthusiastic new team member to join us with the mission to shape the future offering in the Nordic market within Makeup.

For this role as

Junior Category Manager

, you will be responsible for developing the assortment within your sub-category to drive growth and profitability across the Matas and KICKS retail banners.

You will be the eyes and ears towards the outside world, monitoring trends, market dynamics, and consumer data together with your colleagues and suppliers, to develop an appealing and competitive assortment, and ensure that we have the best customer offer within the Nordic Beauty market!

As our Junior Category Manager Makeup, you'll be responsible for:

• Executing sub-category strategies and tactical plans, to maximize profitability.
• Support supplier negotiations for your category, including contract negotiations, supplier investments and price negotiations.
• Having decision mandate on SKU listing and delisting, with input on planograms to effectively manage the product lifecycle.
• Support launch of new brands within existing suppliers and exploring line extensions to drive category growth.
• Collaborating internally and externally to ensure smooth launches of new products and address challenges effectively.

• Strong business sense and a result-oriented mindset.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, both internally and externally.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to make strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• A proactive and results-oriented approach, with a passion for driving continuous improvement.
• A university degree in economics, marketing or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong skills working with Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The position is a temporary position until 28^th of February 2026, based at our office in central Stockholm but regular travel to Matas HQ in Copenhagen will be expected. 

The team is sitting 50/50 across the two locations.

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline January 15th.
