What is in it for you?
The Supplier Performance Management team is part of Procurement, and is responsible for Volvo Cars suppliers’ management, ensuring that suppliers deliver parts in the required quality, quantity, and on time is seeking a dedicated Team Manager (SPM) to join our ranks. We offer Collaboration within Global Procurement teams, a dynamic and flexible environment, communicating and acting with internal and external stakeholders. As the Team Manager, you will lead a team of 10 SPM engineers, guiding them through the entire lifecycle of a part, from supplier selection to production completion. This involves overseeing various aspects, including part quality, capacity, sustainability, cost, and more, encompassing tasks such as commodity business planning, supplier onboarding, APQP, PPAP, etc. You will play a crucial role within the team, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Procurement Vehicle Structure.
What you’ll do
In your role as Team Manager, your primary focus will be on developing, supporting, and coaching the team in their daily work, nurturing individual growth and overall team success. Key responsibilities include: Developing and coaching both individual employees and the team, fostering ownership and accountability for their respective areas, and Managing Human Resource responsibilities for the group, including recruitment, onboarding of new employees, competency development, and salary administration. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Do you fit the profile?
We are seeking a candidate with leadership experience, strong business acumen, drive, and ambition, coupled with expertise in quality work and an understanding of quality methods in the automotive industry. Proficiency in English communication, along with experience in quality supplier work and/or manufacturing engineering background, is essential. A technical or commercial university degree is required, and you should have a documented history of at least 5 years in a managerial position. We value your adaptability, passion for growth, and alignment with our values and purpose in transforming the mobility industry globally.
