Who we are:
The embedded test setups are built around the above-mentioned computer-in-the-car architecture. These setups are a combination of a vehicle simulator and real hardware components to emulate a real vehicle with all the relevant dynamics. Our team is responsible for the development and maintenance of these embedded setups, ensuring that these setups are capable of delivering relevant test cases for platform, software, and function verification. These state-of-the-art test setups are critical for testing software before the final product is launched. Hence, you will be working in an exciting, innovative environment, solving problems and challenges daily.
What you will do:
We are looking for our future team member to enable Software Functionality Verification and Validation on Embedded Systems. We offer you the opportunity to work in a cross-functional team, with a high focus on quality and continuous improvements. Together with your colleagues, you will define, set up, and configure these embedded test environments supporting our current and future projects. You will be working with Software application and deployment on the core computer and embedded GPUs, doing test suits and test cases development, and you will be enabling test automation, moving us towards Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment. With us, you will grow your competence and gain a broad understanding of Volvo Cars' Next Generation Vehicles and Software Platform, along with domain growth in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, Autonomous Driving, Vehicle Motion Control, and Protective Safety. You will work closely with other groups at Volvo Cars, our suppliers, and get the opportunity to create a wide network.
Who you are:
You will fit well in this role if you are a Software Developer Engineer focusing on test automation development and with an understanding of Software Verification and Validation cycles correlated to Software Continuous Integration and hardware In The Loop (HIL) environments. Your Python programming skills are advanced, and you are familiar with the HIL environment. You also have experience in Continuous Integration, and you have worked in the Robot framwork. We believe you are an individual who is motivated by challenging tasks in a complex and innovative environment. Execution of complex technology development and teamwork is your real passion. You enjoy learning from others, as well as sharing your knowledge with your colleagues and are social, structured, analytical, and a problem solver.
