About us
Within the unit Vehicle Tophat and the department Exterior Systems, with the purpose “To see and be seen”, we have the responsibility to develop next generation exterior lighting and visibility systems (cleaning & rear-view systems). All to provide the best customer user experience in our future vehicles. As subject matter experts within our shared service team we provide extensive expertise and know-how to our development teams within Functional Safety and Cyber Security. We now need to strengthen this team with a System Safety Engineer SSE. Together with this team you will play an important role in our continuous work to develop important and safe customer functions.
What you will do
As a system safety engineer, you support our department within the technical area of Functional safety, both tight collaboration with management/leaders and teams/developers. With your expertise you contribute actively coaching our department and teams in all matters relating to Functional Safety. This includes, but is not limited to, safety related internal and external planning, execution support and reviews like for example system safety joint reviews.
Main areas:
· Exterior systems product modules functional safety strategy.
· Management team support as a subject matter expert.
· Support system architects and development teams with functional safety development, verification activities and reviews.
· Support within supplier sourcing and execution.
· Maintain the department safety culture.
What you will bring
Minimum a B.Sc. in Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or equivalent
Minimum 3 years’ experience from automotive embedded SW engineering, working with Functional safety ISO26262
Meritorious:
· Good knowledge of relevant technical domain
· Experience of working as SSE
· Experience from working with Volvo systems such as System/Car Weaver, Team Center.
· Knowledge of Volvo development processes and methods
· Valid driver’s license B
