What you’ll do
Within the Energy Controls group, we are now looking for a software developer and test engineer to our development team. The team is working with inhouse developed software, mainly model-based using Simulink, together with target link or embedded coder, but also some C++ and Java. Our software components are deployed in various control unites in the vehicle (EMC, VCU1, IHU, CSP, GCCC).
Most of the software the team develop, is related to the Vehicle Energy Management and Driver Coach functions, which contains functionality such as: Electrical Distance to Empty (range prediction), range assistant, route based optimized charge/discharge of electric energy, and predictive thermal management, to name a few. The purpose of the functions is to minimize the energy consumption of the vehicle, actively or by coaching the driver. Solutions are developed for all types of vehicles, but focus is on our fully electric vehicles.
Your role and initial tasks will be based upon the competence and experience you bring into the team, but independently of your tasks you will need to collaborate with many different teams and individuals, both internal and external to the department.
What you‘ll bring
We seek someone who is open minded and curious with a good ability to cooperate, as you will be working together with different teams. You have good communication skills, and the ability to cope with many topics in parallel. You are a technical-minded team player who appreciate to work with different cultures. Besides being customer focused, you have a strong analytical capability, are structured, and organized in daily work.
You have more than 3 years of experience in the relevant field, and at least a master’s degree in engineering. You bring experience from embedded software development and testing, have a holistic view and great systems thinking. Preferably you have skills in both model-based development and C++ and/or Java.
We assume that you communicate fluently in English (speech and writing) and have a driver’s license (level B).
