The assembly plant (TC) is divided into four areas: PRE-TRIM, MP AREA, TRIM, and FINAL, with support organizations such as Launch is covering all areas. You will be a part of the Assembly Plant management team. The production is running on three shifts; day, evening and night, starting Sunday night and ending Friday evening. The production capacity is set to 300 000 cars per year, or 1 car per minute, requiring around 2500 employees to operate.

What you’ll do

Plant Launch TC is a dedicated team that works together with production, Product Development and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure that the shop’s KPI’s are met in new car programs or the Running Change Process and addresses issues to be able to deliver a successful launch. 

Plant Launch TC is responsible for preparing production to launch new car programs or running changes, secure and plan Pre-series build, review all decided installations, plan and follow up training for all operators and secure Quality in both product and process.

To be successful in the role you must be able to lead the team in a way that supports the Volvo Cars culture and wanted leadership behaviors. Together with the Launch team you will secure that all prerequisites are in place before the launch of our cars.

The Plant Launch Manager is part of the Final Assembly Management Team.

We are looking for a committed and inspiring manager who is passionate about the products and people. The right candidate has strong personal leadership in line with Volvo Cars values and you are highly successful in bringing out the best in others. You find energy and motivation in releasing others’ potential, allowing them to grow. 

You will need experience from the production domain and some experience in project management to enjoy this position. You also must enjoy the mix between high-paced operational work combined with keeping a full commitment to delivering on the long-term plans.

You have a University degree or equivalent experience and are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Further, you enjoy building confidence and trust at all levels of the organization. As a person you have a holistic view and are goal-oriented.
