Senior Business Controller to H&M Sport i Stockholm

We are looking for a Senior Business Controller to H&M Sport, Stockholm, Sweden to join us securing our journey. Since H&M Sport will be run essentially as a start-up within the H&M Group, the Senior Business Controller role requires a broad, entrepreneurial and highly agile growth mindset. You will be part of building a new brand, adapting and finding innovative ways of working in a creative, entrepreneurial and diverse environment. There will be possibility for staff responsibility for the right candidate.

In the Senior Business Controller role, you will generate sustainable sales growth and profitability for your area of responsibility on short- and long term through commercial analysis, action and leadership. You will be responsible for the analysis in your team and you will take business-minded decisions and implement actions based on your analysis. Together with your team you will be responsible for our global assortment and maximizing sales and profit within your business area.

At H&M Sport you will be a part of a mixed team consisting of a team leader, designers, pattern makers, product developers and planners, all working together to create the best customer offer while at the same time influencing H&M on a global scale.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

• Optimize sustainable sales growth and profitability with the right quantity, the right timing, at the right place and at the best price through analysis and identification of future potential and risk for the section and division
• Participate in defining vision, strategy, goals and timeline together with the section, channel and division management
• Identify and act on short- and long-term actions constantly optimizing the assortment and planning going forward
• Supporting the team with income planning and buying follow-up
• Take responsibility for the controlling within your area of responsibility and secure the balance between top-down vs. bottom-up perspective
• Take a big role in educating the buying teams as well as mentoring the Business Controllers through strong and situational leadership

As a Senior Business Controller at H&M Sport we believe that you are entrepreneurial with a strong interest in Sports and sportwear. You have a curious mindset and are constantly looking for new possibilities to develop assortment strategies. You enjoy working strategically with developing our business as well as working hands on analyzing numbers. You are passionate about driving sales and working closely with the product.

To be successful in this role we see that you: 

• Have a degree in business, engineering or equivalent area
• Have a background as a Business Controller, Merchandiser, or similar roles
• Have a proven track record of strong performance within assortment controlling, assortment strategy and informal leadership
• Have a strong interest or experience working with Sportswear
• Have strong analytical skills and the ability to turn your analysis into actions
• Have experience from leadership and strong potential in leadership
• Salesmanship and the ability to understand what our customers want
• Great communication skills
• Fluent in English, both written and verbally

This is a fulltime assignment based at our Head Office in Stockholm, Sweden, and you will report to Head of Assortment Controlling H&M Sport.
