Company Description

The Group Controlling department is globally responsible for steering budgeting, P&L reporting, investment & operational planning and group analysis across all brands and channels. We are leading and supporting our brands, new initiatives, and joint group functions in how to set up their operative reporting structure in accordance with group requirements. For all major projects and initiatives, we ensure that business sense and Group Controlling principles are followed. We also develop tools, analysis, methods and coordinate budgeting, forecasting, reporting and long-term planning.

Job Description

We are now looking for a new colleague within Group Controlling who can be part of our company’s exciting journey! As a Group Controller you are a key player for the financial steering and controlling of our company with the main objective to cater for resilient financials.

You will be responsible for- and will contribute with analysis of our business operations within the entire H&M group, with a holistic financial perspective as the foundation. The analysis and insights you generate through your work will provide important input to our executives and management teams across H&M group. You will also play an important part of the continuous development of our area of expertise.

 Your role and responsibilities will include among other things:

  • Creating a consolidated view of our financial plans and forecasts
  • Build models of our P&L and cash flow to conduct sensitivity and scenario simulations as part of predictive forecasting
  • Create, maintain, and monitor financial reports across entire H&M group
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and create supporting reports with the purpose to make recommendations for our senior group management team
  • Perform advanced financial analysis (internal and external data)
  • Initiate and/or be part of initiatives that develop way of work within your area as well as within the responsibilities of the team

Qualifications

You are persistent, goal-driven and motivated by performance and you have the ability to prioritize in a fast-changing environment. You are resilient, and you also have leadership qualities where you have a desire to support and develop your colleagues.

 In addition to your great personality, we also see that you have:

  • A higher education (MSc) in business, accounting, corporate finance
  • Qualifications such as authorized-, chartered-, qualified accountant, or similar
  • 5-10 years' experience from accounting, corporate finance as well as business controlling 
  • Strong analytical ability both qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Great knowledge within all areas of how the P&L are constructed and can create and model with cash flow, income statement, balance sheet, investment and value analysis and strategic cost management
  • Experience in Power BI, constructing reports and building analysis models leveraging multiple data sources
  • Experience in summarizing results and recommendations based on your analysis in a clear and structured way 
  • Experience from retail and especially fashion retail is an advantage
